What is something that you have done in your walk with God that was really impactful for you?
For me, it was taking 12 minutes out of the day to stop and pray! Whether it was writing out my prayers on a piece of paper, or writing out everyone who I wanted to pray for, I was getting into the habit of sitting still and praising, thanking, confessing, and asking God.
I heard this from a sermon, he had some sciencey stuff on how 12 minutes changes our brains! But we can actually change the way our mind think, we just have to have some self discipline as well as trust in our good God!
I will link it!

The most impactful thing I have ever done is to be very intentional about gratitude to God. First, to be mindful of the gospel every day – Jesus died for ME, so that I can have a relationship with the Creator of the universe and stand (sit, walk, kneel..) in His presence and talk to Him. Whoa! That is something to be thankful for every day!
Second, to write down 3- 5 things daily from that day for which I am thankful. Changing my view of the world to looking for things to thank God for totally changed my perspective, made me realize how incredibly blessed I am, and helped me face hard times because I KNOW how faithful my God is.
About a year ago I decided to stop listening to secular music. I spent 6 months where I just listened to Christian music. You realize very quickly how what you listen to, read, and watch affects your walk with Christ. To this day I really only listen to Christian worship and it brings so much joy into my life. It’s a constant reminder of how good He is and how much He provides for me.
One time I read through Genesis 10 times in a row! It launched me forward in my understanding of Gods word! I did it with a friend and we learned so much!
For the past few weeks I’ve been sitting down and writing a prayer down every night before I go to bed! It forces me to sit down and genuinely think about what I am praying and be focused on talking with God! I also hope to be able to go back through the journal and highlight all of prayers I prayed that God did answer! I think it’s going to be a great reflection tool. :)
